New Hip Hop Online Magazine Launches Version 2.0

with a Better Look More Function and lots of Star Power.

May 12, 2005.This month TheFlowOnline.com launches its second version of its website. TheFlowOnline is a FREE email magazine that can be received in your own email inbox. The email magazine is known for its commentary news on popular Hip Hop Icons and Urban lifestyle extending from music, television, film and comedy with interviews featuring such talents as Cedric the Entertainer and Ashanti. This month the magazine is paying tribute to the career of Ice Cube.

The new launch is the result of the development of several features built into the website, including the lauch of Flow TV. The Flow TV is an urban/hip-hop lifestyle television show based on the ezine, The Flow Online. The Flow TV is unique blend of urban-based reality programming with a splash of, In Living Color, Entertainment Tonight and BET 's Rap City. The Flow TV showcases the hottest events in the country and interview the biggest stars in entertainment industry with an "ear to the street" mentality. To date The Flow Magazine has interviewed some of the biggest stars in entertainment: Jaheim, Chris Tucker, Roy Jones. The website possesses features that cater to the lifestyle characteristics of the urban genre. The site allows for users to edify themselves with features such as Get Ur Face in The Flow where users who are aspiring models can post their photos to have other site users vote on them. The highest ranking photos win a chance to be featured as a Face of the Flow for a particular month.

Other features include Get Ur Flow On. This feature allows aspiring rap artist to post their best 1 minute pre-recorded battle rhymne in an MP3 format. The rap can then be listened to by members of the site allowing them to vote on it as well. The top rapper of the month advances to the Championship Round held at the end of the year. The winner will earn the right to compose the site theme song along with other sponsored prizes.

The site also features a market place for aspiring beat makers and producers to sell their beats, whereas most beats created by these aspiring local artist would never see the light of day. It also allows aspiring vocalist and rappers to purchase such beats at an affordable price. All beats are to be bought and sold royalty free, with some restrictions. This service allows the seller to make money by repeatedly selling the same music. Users can purchase the pre-production music at an affordable price to complete demo songs and albums for local use.

Additional features allow local promoters to tap into the functionality of the site by utilizing its Promote your Party function. Users can load their own personal emails to create an graphically designed eflyer promoting their own personal event. The event is also featured in the issue for the following month.

All of these services are absolutely free. Part of the magazines focus is to attract urban consumers who are interested in more popular Hip Hop or Hip Hop related stars and expose them to the artistic talents of the underground Hip Hop industry. By doing this the magazine hopes to educate the popular Hip Hop consumer with the many facets of the culture while providing lesser known yet talented individuals a larger audience.
