Latin Rap Conference Showcase With Lil Rob, Tru Life and Voltio on September 20 to Benefit Katrina Hurricane Victims

NEW YORK, Sept. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Latin Rap Conference organizers, today announced that the LRC's showcase will be dedicated to support the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Latin rap, hip hop and reggaeton's top artists Lil Rob, Tru Life and Voltio will headline the event on Tuesday, September 20 at 9:00 PM ET at Latin Quarter, located on 511 Lexington Avenue in New York City, New York. The line-up, promises to be one of the hottest music showcases as it integrates hip hop from the East Coast and West Coast with reggaeton from Puerto Rico.

Prior to the showcase on September 20, the Latin Rap Conference will conduct an action-packed agenda with industry executives, record labels and media insiders participating in four exciting panels on the new Hispanic urban format and the growth of Latin rap and reggaeton.

Executives from all major record labels, radio stations and media outlets participating in the conference include: Gus Lopez (Machete Records), Jose Tillan (MTV), Ebro Darden (Hot 97), DJ Kazzanova, (La Kalle), Flavio Morales (Mun 2), and Leila Cobo (Billboard Magazine).

One of the most anticipated panels at the conference will be the Youth Town Hall Meeting, where 10-15 young Latino adults will interact with top industry executives to discuss their views on the music industry, their preferences and the role of electronic media in shaping consumer behavior. FUSE TV VJ Marianela will host the Youth panel which promises to be an insightful and entertaining event.

The Latin Rap Conference expects over 350 to attend the panels and best practices workshops, setting the stage for up-and-coming artists and music veterans to collaborate and lead the fastest growing segment in the music industry.
