New York, NY-- Multiple Grammy Award-winning composer Burt Bacharach joins WFUV Music Director Rita Houston for a performance and interview on The Whole Wide World on Friday, November 18 at 8:00 PM. The accomplished composer recently added the title of "lyricist" to his resume with the release of his new CD, At This Time. Produced with the help of Dr. Dre, Elvis Costello, Rufus Wainwright and Chris Botti, At This Time marks Bacharach's first-ever venture into lyric-writing. Every Friday night from 8:00-11:00 PM, the genre- melding Whole Wide World showcases host Rita Houston's famously wide ranging musical tastes. The show mixes rock, pop, world, electronica, lounge, soul and dance tunes into a mellow Friday night soundtrack, punctuated with interviews and in-studio performances. In its four years on the air, The Whole Wide World has welcomed a diverse array of artists ranging from the likes of Rilo Kiley and the Kings of Convenience to Nancy Sinatra and Mavis Staples, among many others.
