New York NY (November 1, 2005) The Hip-Hop
Association [H2A], a non-profit organization dedicated
to facilitating, fostering and preserving Hip-Hop
culture and its community, invites Award Winning song
writer Jack Knight to attend their annual arts and
culture events for 2005.

Jack Knight is a hit urban songwriter and producer
whose credits include hit singles by Monifah, Total,
Carl Thomas, Faith Evans, Guru, Loon, P. Diddy and
Usher. Jack initially came to the forefront as an
urban soul writer and producer, working with the likes
of Total, Monifah, Blackstreet and Chico DeBarge.

After scoring a couple of hits behind the scenes,
Knight decided to move into the realm of recording,
releasing his critically acclaimed debut album, Gypsy
Blues (Universal) in the summer of 1999. He was the
first writer signed to Sean "P. Diddy" Combs
publishing company, "The Writing Factory" a subsidiary
of Bad Boy Entertainment where he continues to write,
record and produce hit records on a regular basis for
artists including Mary J. Blige, Lil' Kim, J. Lo and
P. Diddy.

Jack is currently collaborated with award-winning
songwriter and SongU.com co-founder, Sara Light, on a
book about writing well-crafted songs geared toward
the urban market. Recently Knight finished working on
the Biggie Duet Album and Lil Kims record the Naked
Truth. A dedicated member of the Grammy board and a
volunteer with the New York School of the Art system
this young, intelligent man is on a journey to teach a
and change peoples life through the teachings his
gift, writing from the soul.

The Hip-Hop Association utilizes Hip-Hop culture as a
tool to effectively encourage critical thinking,
social change and unity, while empowering communities
through educational and cultural initiatives. This is
accomplished through two media and education programs:
H2O [Hip-Hop Odyssey] and H2Ed [Hip-Hop Education]
Summit

Knight speaks on how Hip Hop Education is important,
" I truly believe that there are two things in our
world that Transcend Race, Culture, Politics, and
Religion. To me those two things are Self-education
and Music. I say self-education because the effort it
takes for a young person from the inner cities of New
York, Europe, Africa, and Latin America to read and
educate them, helps build an unseen force of
intellectual understanding and communication.

Music on the other hand, in particular music of
the hip hop genre. Brings the Urban and world
culture's together with no concern's other than
recognizing our struggle, at the same time we still
have a good time dancing, Rapping, and dressing.

The Hip-Hop education summit is both brilliant and
pioneering in bringing these two elements of culture
together in a fun and exciting way. I'm honored to be
apart of this movement the same way the forefathers of
this country were honored to be apart of the
declaration of independence"
