Tom Joyner's REACH Media Inc. to Affiliate Russ Parr's Weekend Radio Show
Deal Will Enhance Programming and Syndication Opportunities for REACH Media Inc.
DALLAS, Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Tom Joyner's REACH Media Inc., formed by the top-ranked and award-winning nationally syndicated radio and television personality and businessman, has acquired the syndication rights to Russ Parr radio show, On the Air with Russ Parr, today in a deal with parent company, Radio One. Parr's show is the first new radio show added to the multi-media company's roster.
As of January 1, 2006, REACH Media Inc. and Radio One will be solely responsible for syndication of Parr's weekend radio show, On the Air with Russ Parr. Terms of the deal include syndication rights, overseeing advertising sales, and the creation and development of show content. Superadio, the company that currently distributes Parr's On the Air show, will continue to syndicate the show through the end of the year. Premiere Radio Networks will be handling the sales for the network.

Parr joins REACH Media and Radio One with an impressive and extensive resume. On the air since the late 80's with stints on the legendary KDAY - Los Angeles (the nation's first 24-hour hip hop station) and KJMZ - Dallas. Parr then became a permanent fixture on the airwaves of Radio One's 93.9 WKYS - Washington DC and became nationally syndicated shortly thereafter. Parr has also had his own record label, Raspur, and signed with the late Easy E's Ruthless Records. A devoted husband and father, Parr wears many hats including DJ, stand-up comedian, actor, film director and philanthropist.
