SPEED Channel Renews Lifestyle Shows Unique Whips, Build or Bust
Pinks, Texas Hardtails Debut Next Week
CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 22, 2005--SPEED Channel VP of Programming Robert Ecker announced today the network has renewed both Unique Whips and Build or Bust for second seasons.
"We are extremely pleased that both Unique Whips and Build or Bust will be returning to the SPEED lineup with all-new episodes beginning next spring," Ecker said. "Audience response to these enthusiast-themed programs has been very gratifying, and with the impending launch of both Pinks (June 29, 8 p.m. ET) and Texas Hardtails (June 28, 8:30 p.m. ET) we continue to affirm our commitment to this segment of our viewership. Looking ahead, we currently are identifying additional properties for future seasons that will further bolster the SPEED brand within this category."

Unique Whips (Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET), shot on location at the New York celebrity car customizing shop of Will Castro, featured season-one appearances by A-list athletes and entertainers, including tennis great Jennifer Capriati, NY Yankees sluggers Jason Giambi and Ruben Sierra, NBA stars Carmelo Anthony, Marcus Camby and Jermaine O'Neal, NFL standouts Lavar Arrington and Byron Leftwich and hip-hop artists Jadakiss and Fat Joe.
"Season one was a hell of an experience -- I didn't realize what kind of impact the show would have on the industry," said Castro, owner of Long Island's Unique Autosports. "But getting out there on SPEED took our work mainstream and introduced our style and our crew to the entire country.
"We were a little nervous about putting our business out there in season one, but I think the entire crew is looking forward to season two," Castro added. "The SPEED viewers are going to see a lot more of the Unique craftsmanship that goes into celebrity cars. I think everyone, including our clients, will be a lot more comfortable with the cameras around and by the end of season two, there will be no doubt as to why Unique stands head and shoulders above some of the other customizing shops."
The 12 new Unique Whips episodes planned for season two will give viewers a look at even more stars and their Unique cars, with plans to include appearances by entertainers Jessica Simpson, Pamela Anderson and Busta Rhymes and NBA standout Vince Carter.
Build or Bust, created and produced by A Band Apart's Scott Gillen, also was given the green light on 11 new episodes to begin next spring. The one-hour show takes an average person with an interest in designing and building his or her own motorcycle, matches them up with a renowned master builder and gives them 30 days to build a bike from the ground up. If the job is completed to the master builder's satisfaction within the allotted time, they get to keep the bike. If not, they walk away bruised and empty-handed.
Beginning June 28, Build or Bust moves to Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET, strategically positioning it with SPEED Channel's other motorcycle enthusiast fare, including 2 Wheel Tuesday (7:30 p.m. ET), American Thunder (8 p.m. ET) and the first season of Texas Hardtails (8:30 p.m. ET).
"I am thrilled by the show's success and excited about our plans for a second season on SPEED," Gillen said. "Build or Bust is sometimes raw, sometimes a little harsh, but that's because it's real -- and that's why people love the show. In the new season, we plan to introduce Build or Bust's very own shop that will feature everything a custom motorcycle builder might need to create the bike of his or her dreams. We look forward to a long run."
Exile Cycles master builder Russell Mitchell, who starred in most of the season-one episodes, plans to return for season two.
"The first season of Build or Bust was a lot of fun," Mitchell said. "I had a great time working with the wide array of interesting characters who participated. I particularly enjoyed watching their efforts to do in 30 days what it has taken me a lifetime to learn."

Believe the Hype: Hip Hop Is Back On the Boston Scene With the Opening of The UndergroundHipHop.com Store
A true rags to riches story of Northeastern University graduate Adam Walder, whose passion for underground hip hop morphed from a dorm room hobby into the profitable internet music mail order business of UndergroundHipHop.com. Walder is now taking that business to the next level by opening a physical retail store backed with a revolutionary retail purchasing concept which blurs the lines of online vs. brick and mortar shopping experiences. The flagship location of The UndergroundHipHop.com Store is sure to bring back the love of the underground in a city not traditionally known for its hip hop roots.
(PRWEB) June 23, 2005 -- From 50 visitors a day to over 30,000 a day, from 40 music titles to over 8400 titles, from a small dorm room to a 2500 sq ft. office/retail and still growing; UndergroundHipHop.com is a true entrepreneur success story of passion that really does pay the bills.
From the beginning, Adam Walder was always a fan of the underground hip hop scene. Whether he was managing a mix tape store at the age of 15 or being a 16 year old assistant hip hop DJ at Rutgers University in his home state of New Jersey, he always dreamed of owning his own music store that would promote the music and culture that he loved so much.
While Walder took a round about route in realizing his dream by starting a successful online music retail venture (UndergroundHipHop.com) out of his Northeastern University dorm room in 1997, his initial dream of owning a brick and mortar retail store is now becoming a reality with the opening of The UndergroundHipHop.com Store located at 234 Huntington Avenue in the heart of Boston, Massachusetts.
This 2500 sq. ft. space, with 800 square feet of it being turned into a retail store dedicated underground hip hop music and culture, with the additional 1700 sq. ft. remaining as office space for the internet operations, will sell over 8400 titles of underground hip hop CDs, vinyl records, DVDs and clothing. How do you sell over 8400 titles of independent hip hop artists music in only 800 sq ft. of retail space? This is where Walder works his magic with out of the box thinking and merging of traditional processes with the latest technologies which will help create a whole new experience of purchasing music in a physical retail setting.
The website of UndergroundHipHop.com has successfully grown into a thriving business due to its focus on three aspects of the underground hip hop genre; Providing entertainment via streaming audio by allowing customers to listen to a minimum of one minute all the way up to the full length of a song before purchasing, by creating a community via the online forums and chat rooms which connect thousands of hip hop heads from all over the world, and finally offering the music of un-signed (as well as label-signed artists) to visitors for purchase. These three aspects coupled with a massive music selection and the highest standards of customer service, have propelled UndergroundHipHop.com into one of the most visited online sources in the underground hip hop industry. So how was Walder to translate these online aspects into a physical retail store setting without losing the identity of what made UndergroundHipHop.com so inviting in the first place? His answer to this and other pressing retail concerns was simple keep the inner workings of the online purchasing technology intact and build the traditional retail store environment around it.
Walder plans to set up computer terminals within the store which would allow customers to come in, easily search through and view details on the 8400 items carried, listen to the music, place their order via the computer terminal and then proceed up to the register to pick up and purchase their requested items. With the traditional retail environment remaining intact with new releases and top sellers being on display, an apparel section and a small lounge area reserved for customers to relax and discuss the happenings of the hip hop community, this is a new concept that is sure to take the music retail industry by storm.
Similar to the book picking system at the Boston Public library, where the majority of the book stacks can only be accessed by an employee of the library to retrieve books for the customer, this in-store, online purchasing concept is beneficial to the retail sector in numerous ways. Inventory issues that are consistently plaguing the music retail industry including misplaced or damaged items and theft will no longer eat up profits. Also, since the majority of stock is stored in back within an office structured environment, significantly less up-front retail space is necessary to housing addition, the likeliness of closing a sale is increased because a customer can listen to any and every song in an extended 1 minute to full length sample before making a purchase.
While some of the larger music retail franchises have taken a step in a similar direction with music listening stations and scanners, their limited 30 second snippets combined with a bogged down search system creates frustration and risk in the music purchase process. Staying true to the underground way of doing things, UndergroundHipHop.com refuses to bend and follow the traditional retail store structure. Instead, they have taken what they know works and are bending the rules of the retail industry to work within the context of new Internet and music technologies that have made the company what it is today.

Walders persistence and passion were able to pay the bills, but will they be able to bend an entire music retail industry? Come by the new store location to find out.

Lord Zeus BKA Micheal Grimes, has a strong voice and brings the power needed to move the whole crowd.
LyRic BKA David Freeman, with knowledge of self, he brings truth to his lyrics with his eyes wide open.
Relly Rell BKA Durell Holloway, a laid back smooth style, he's like a young LL Kool J in the 80's.

"Young BallerZ" is a powerful song that just rip it. "The Warning" is just that a warning to the Hip Hop world that they are next.
And "Bump that Shit" is a true club banger. and the Radio cut of "Bump that Shaaaa" is even better then the uncut, when have you known that a cut vers, was hotter then the uncut? In those boys from Japan are rippin it too on "U Better Back Up" and "Karate Flow".
I asked about the album cover, and they just said the birth of a family starts with one baby at a time. And the DAC Squad is one body and soul with a mic.
Many of the ladies just fell in love with the guys from their pictures on the sites. And when they are on stage the house goes crazy for him. If you don't know just visited blackplanet.com and look them up in the chat room or on their page. To top it off, they write back to their fans too.
They have showcase at the world famous Apollo Theater, Detroit Cobo Center and in Japan these young men are going places, but now it's time for them to stop making Mix Tapes and create their own music.
They have much love for the Hip Hop world and Respect for the World. Show your support by calling your radio stations and dance clubs DJ and request them to play DAC Squad. West Coast Rap Author Teams Up with DJ Mike Relm and Balance on CD to Accompany Book "Lyrical Swords Vol. 2: Westside Rebellion"
Critically Acclaimed Lyrical Swords Author Tells the World "Be down now, or bow down later!"
San Jose, CA, June 22, 2005: YinSumi Press, the world's first publishing house dedicated to documenting the social and political trends in the Hip Hop subculture, is proud to announce that author Adisa Banjoko, DJ Mike Relm and Balance will release a powerful CD to accompany the book "Lyrical Swords Vol. 2: Westside Rebellion". The book and CD will drop Oct., 1st, 2005 on YinSumi Press.
You can listen to a sample MP3 of Adisa Banjoko's Harvard lecture on Islam, Hip Hop and Black America featuring Balance w/various beats and blends by DJ Relm at Adisa's blog, Holla at a Scholar!!:

Blog post with link and background:

[Note to editors: Please link to the blog or blog post rather than directly to the MP3.]
"Lyrical Swords Vol. 2: Westside Rebellion" looks at the difference in philosophy and strategy between Hip Hop on the east coast and west coast. People forget that the west coast is the home of the Black Panthers and the Brown Berets. When the courts fail to serve justice to the people out west, we riot. Thats why Tupac said "Only in Cali do we riot not rally, so live and die." From Ice Cube to Tupac, Paris and Kam, we have a ton of strong conscious rappers. But the standard myth is that the only conscious rappers come from the east. No doubt our east coast brothers set the standard. But like everything else in Hip Hop, we have our own unique way of being politically active.
Additional tracks from Balance and San Jose's Jay the Butcher and Shamako Noble will be featured on the CD for "Lyrical Swords Vol. 2: Westside Rebellion".
"In truth, the CD is a tribute to Keith LeBlanc's No Sell Out from back in 1983. It's a tribute to Malcolm X and LeBlanc. When we tell you that you have not heard anything like this before, we mean it. The artistry by which Relm rocked the blends of my lecture with Hip Hop is beyond amazing. To be on the same team as Balance on a mixtape is just an honor in itself. When it comes to 'Lyrical Swords Volume 2: Westside Rebellion', people can either be down now, or bow down later. But the rebellion is on!!," said Banjoko.
In addition the book "Lyrical Swords Vol. 2: Westside Rebellion" will feature previously unreleased interviews from the late 80s and early 90s with artists such as Master P, Mac Mall, Run D.M.C. and Jam Master Jay, Luniz, Paris, Young Black Teenagers, Slick Rick, Tragedy Khadafi, Spice One, Gangstarr, and many others.
Other dynamic social and political commentary on issues facing today's youth will also be included. A sample MP3 of DJ Mike Relm
s mix can be heard right now at www.netweed.com/lyricalswords!!

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Starz Entertainment Group (SEG) announced today that it will begin production on its first late-night stand-up comedy show featuring some of the nation's hottest up-and-coming urban comedians. The new series, of which ten episodes have been ordered, is a co- production with Mojo Raid LLC. "1st Amendment Stand-Up" will air exclusively on Starz InBlack beginning in September.
"We are proud to initiate our first venture in the production of a stand- up comedy series with '1st Amendment Stand-Up,'" said Nancy Silverstone, vice president, program acquisitions, SEG. "This show will give voice to a whole new generation of exuberant, untapped comedy talent. We'll get to hear these rising stars talk about a variety of topics in their no-holds-barred, outrageous routines. Starz InBlack is the place for comedy like this."

Remy Martin, Hype Williams Kick Off Black Music Month With a 'Toast to 1738'
Campaign Partners with Jazz Alliance International, Rhythm & Blues Foundation to Celebrate the 1,738 Most Influential Songs in Black Music
NEW YORK, June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- This year, Remy Martin 1738 and famed hip hop video director Hype Williams will step up the traditional Black Music Month celebration beyond the month of June and recognize black music all summer long with a "Toast to 1738." Inspired by Remy Martin 1738 Accord Royal Cognac, the nationwide celebration will commemorate the 1,738 most influential songs in black music and include a ten-city, tour featuring Hype.
"1738 is a special cognac in a class all its own. It was created in honor of the year that the royal recognition of excellence was given to Remy Martin by the King of France. The expert craftsmanship that goes into 1738 mirrors the finest traditions of all of the music honored on the 1738 list," said Steve Hissam, Category Director for Remy Martin. "Only by working with music experts like Hype Williams, the members of the Rhythm & Blues Foundation and the Jazz Alliance International could the 1738 song list truly reflect the full contribution of black music to our culture and history."
The Toast to 1738 list is a collection of artists and their songs across all black music genres -- rhythm & blues, rap/hip hop, jazz, blues, gospel, reggae and rock -- beginning in 1920 and continuing to the present. It was compiled through an extraordinary partnership between Remy Martin, Hype Williams and two of the leading and most influential organizations in black music -- the Rhythm & Blues Foundation (RBF) and Jazz Alliance International (JAI).
The group researched billboard charts, archives and personal music collections to compile the initial list. The final song list was decided by non-scientific vote based on the song and artist's overall contributions to music, culture and history. It includes a wide array of artists from jazz legends Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald to today's urban music fusions of Usher and Jay-Z.
In what is being dubbed the summer of 1738, Remy Martin and Hype will be on the road raising a glass to the 1738 list at the hottest clubs in major cities, including: Houston, New Orleans, Miami, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., New York, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles and Oakland. At the clubs, Hype will sample a selection of the 1738 songs and toast with Remy Martin 1738 each time one is played.
"I'm looking forward to touring the country with Remy Martin to build appreciation for black music and enjoy many of the songs that have influenced my career," said Hype. "You must first understand music of the past to fully appreciate the music of today. Every modern artist that I work with has been influenced by the work that preceded them."
"Jazz Alliance International welcomes the opportunity to widen audience appreciation for jazz and music influenced by jazz," said JAI President Suzan Jenkins. "We look forward to hearing the next generations' interpretation of the jazz cannon and beyond."

Moderat Modtones DJ wins best ringtone application at The Brew 2005 developer awards, also cited as top music seller on Verizon deck
Mobile entertainment company Moderati snagged a BREW 2005 Developer Award for Best Ringtone Application for its Modtones DJ product, a handset application featuring real music clips from current artists. With full fidelity hit singles and tracks from artists like 50 Cent, Modtones DJ turns an ordinary mobile phone into music machine. The firm cites a major demand for hip-hop based ringtones a key to driving much of its success.
Some of the features of Modtones DJ include: the ability to browse various categories, preview the tones including various new arrivals and download them right to your phone.
The BREW 2005 Developer Awards is a global awards program that recognizes and promotes the best BREW applications created by wireless publishers and developers. BAY AREA RAPPER E-40 AND L.A.s THIRD DEGREE DO THEIR THING ON UPCOMING ALBUM RELEASE
Bay Area hiphop veteran E-40 will be featured on L.A. hiphop artist Third Degrees upcoming single, Do My Thang. The highly anticipated track is slated to appear on Third Degrees upcoming debut album, The Pedestrian, which had originally been scheduled for release late last year until legal negotiations held the album up. The disc will hit retail outlets on August 2.
Third Degree (Wayne Gillory) walks it like he talks it on this hook-laden, jeep ready album. Third, who hails from South Central Los Angeles, grew up living right around the corner from Dub C of Westside Connection. Says Third, I went to Hiphop High. Washington High School was where I came up. A lot of hiphop artists went there, like Dub C, Crazy Tunes from The Maad Circle, YoYo, DJ Alladin, and Sir Jinx, who DJs for Xzibit, and more. Crenshaw High may have had all the sports people locked up, but Washington has had the music people.
Thirds album is jam packed with 21 serious tracks, including the single Do My Thang, featuring E-40. I like real writers who have subjects and topics, Third proclaims. Im a purist kind of guy.
While the intersection pictured on the albums cover is the corner of L.A.s Imperial and Western, Thirds songs reflect hiphop sensibilities emanating on corners in areas all over the country, so his rhymes hit home with those who are both near and far. Wherever you are when you listen to this album, youre still at the intersection of hiphop beats and masterful rhymes, as the Pedestrian makes his way through your speakers.
The long awaited album is slated for release on Blak Ice Records.

"Hustle & Flow" Set to Heat Up Summer: Sizzling Hip-Hop Soundtrack Due July 12th
Award-Winning Paramount/MTV Film Opens July 13th; "I'm A King" by P$C (Feat. T.I. & Lil Scrappy) Is 1st Single; All-Star Hollywood Concert Set for June 27th
NEW YORK, NY -- (Market Wire - Jun 20, 2005) -- Grand Hustle Entertainment and Atlantic Records have set July 12th for the release of "MUSIC FROM AND INSPIRED BY THE MOTION PICTURE HUSTLE & FLOW," the sizzling soundtrack to the Sundance Film Festival Audience Award-winning hip-hop drama. The Paramount Classic/MTV Films release is due in theatres across North America on July 13th.
The summer's hottest hip-hop collection, the "HUSTLE & FLOW" soundtrack features an extraordinary line-up of the coolest hip-hop and urban artists, including T.I. & P$C, Juvenile, Trina, Mike Jones, Paul Wall, Boyz N Da Hood, Webbie, 8Ball & MJG, Lil Scrappy, Trillville, and many others. The album also includes the film's star, Terrence Howard ("Crash," "Ray"), performing tracks in his lead role as the street hustler-turned-rapper known as DJay.
The first single from the soundtrack will be "I'm A King" by P$C (feat. T.I. and Lil Scrappy). The track -- produced by the King of Crunk himself, Lil Jon -- is set to impact at multi-format radio on June 27th. The single's companion video, directed by Benny Boom, was shot last week in Atlanta, with BET on hand to cover the shoot for "Access Granted."
To keep the heat on, the album's second single has already been slated -- a killer remix of newcomer Webbie's "Bad B**ch," featuring hip-hop diva Trina. Webbie, who hails from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is currently bulleting to the top of the urban charts with "Give Me That" (Asylum/Trill). The "Bad B**ch" companion video was shot last week in Miami. Directed by Dr. Teeth, it will be the subject of a "Makes A Video" episode on MTV2.
The soundtrack also introduces national audiences to the crunk sounds of Al Kapone. Kapone is a longtime Memphis rapper who found a fan in "Hustle & Flow" writer-director Craig Brewer; Brewer insisted that Kapone was the guy to write DJay's raps, to give them a distinctly Memphis sound. Kapone contributes to the soundtrack with two of DJay's raps, "Whoop That Trick" and "Hustle And Flow (It Ain't Ovah)," and one of his own, "Get Crunk, Get Buck."
A number of major events will be held to celebrate "HUSTLE & FLOW," highlighted by a June 27th all-star show at Hollywood's House of Blues, hosted by Trina. The evening will feature a number of the soundtrack's stars -- including T.I. & P$C, Juvenile, Lil Jon, Mike Jones, Paul Wall, Boyz N Da Hood, Webbie, Lil Scrappy, and Trillville.
In addition, "HUSTLE & FLOW" artists will make personal appearances at several special movie screening events: On July 6th, Paramount will host a major screening in Memphis, the city where "Hustle & Flow" is set -- with T.I., P$C, and Trina slated to attend. The following day, July 7th, an event will be held at the Fort Hood U.S. Army base in Killeen, Texas -- featuring a screening, an autograph signing by T.I. and Trina, and a live performance by T.I.
MTV will feature "Hustle & Flow" and its soundtrack in a variety of its programming, including a half-hour special entitled "How To Be A Music Hustler" -- featuring exclusive live performances recorded at a recent "MTV $2 Bill" concert in Chicago, along with interviews with T.I., Juvenile, Paul Wall, Mike Jones, and Webbie. "Hustle & Flow" will also be featured in a special installment of "Direct Effect," slated to air on July 13th and featuring soundtrack and movie talent.
On Sunday, July 3rd, Anthony Anderson will host a special "Hustle & Flow" edition of "Sucker Free Sunday" -- MTV2's all-day lineup of hip hop-related programming. Included will be a half-hour news special entitled "My Block: Memphis," which will focus on rappers from Memphis -- the hometown setting for "Hustle & Flow." MTV2 is also featuring the film this week during its "Summer's Hottest" series of vignettes.
In addition, soundtrack artists including Juvenile, Paul Wall, and Webbie will take part in the "Sucker Free Sunday Tour," with dates booked throughout July in such cities as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and New Orleans.
The entire "HUSTLE & FLOW" album can be heard via "The Leak" on both MTV.com and MTV2.com for a full week leading up to the album's July 12th street date. The album will also be highlighted across all MTV platforms, including MTV Jams and mtvU, which also featured the film in its recent story on "Summer Essentials."
Written and directed by Craig Brewer, the critically acclaimed "Hustle & Flow" is the redemptive story of a streetwise Memphis hustler trying to find his voice and realize his long buried dream of becoming a respected rap artist. Winner of the prestigious Audience Award at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival, the film stars Terrence Howard, Anthony Anderson ("The Shield," "Barbershop"), Taryn Manning ("8 Mile," "Cold Mountain"), DJ Qualls ("Road Trip," "The New Guy"), and Ludacris ("Crash," "2 Fast 2 Furious"). "Hustle & Flow" is produced by John Singleton ("Boyz N The Hood," "2 Fast 2 Furious," "Four Brothers") and Stephanie Allain.

BET Premieres HIV/AIDS Testing Special Featuring Hip Hop Diva Ciara and Comedienne Mo'Nique
TV Listings / TV Schedules / Programming Guides
WASHINGTON, June 20 /PRNewswire/ -- On Sunday, June 26 at 3:00 pm ET/PT, BET will premiere OPEN MIC: MY THING, an hour-long special program produced as part of Rap-It-Up, the network's award-winning HIV/AIDS public education partnership with the Kaiser Family Foundation.
Co-hosted by Mad Linx of BET's RAP CITY and hip hop diva Ciara, and also featuring actress/comedian Mo'Nique and R&B singer-turned-actress Eve, the show spans the U.S. for stories about how young people are taking charge to get the word out about HIV/AIDS and the importance of testing. The show debuts on the eve of National HIV Testing Day (June 27).
Four young men demystify HIV testing by taking viewers along as they get tested at T.H.E. Clinic in Los Angeles. In Nashville, the show takes a look at the growing impact of HIV on young women. At Langston University in Oklahoma, the show looks at how the school has made testing a campus-wide priority. And, in Detroit, the show checks in with a young HIV positive man from last year's program about his recent appearance on the UPN network sitcom Eve to get out the word on testing.
Lil' E, the son of late rapper Eazy E, also speaks about his father's death 10 years ago as a result of AIDS and the importance of sharing his personal experience. AIDS is a leading cause of death for African Americans, who have been disproportionately impacted by HIV.
"BET is steadfast in its commitment to educating viewers about the devastating impact of HIV/AIDS," said Sonya Lockett, BET's Director of Public Affairs. "Through our special on-air programming and community outreach efforts, we hope to continue to raise public awareness about HIV/AIDS."
"One in four Americans living with HIV doesn't know it," said Tina Hoff, Kaiser Family Foundation Vice President and Director of Entertainment Media Partnerships.
"Getting the word out about HIV testing is crucial to reducing the spread of this disease, which is disproportionately impacting African Americans."

Smart Ones Entertainment Group has created a new innovative entertainment venue that combines the best of online competition with members' favorite music genres. (PRWEB) June 21, 2005 -- Smart Ones Entertainment Group has created a new innovative entertainment venue that combines the best of online competition with members' favorite music genres. First up: hip-hop at the site RapTrivia.com.
Yuhanna Sherriff, owner and CEO says that while there are other sites dedicated to hip- hop, no one else combines that kind of dedication with competitions where players can win up to $10,000 US, the grand prize.
The structure of the competitions is very straightforward. Players are asked questions about their favorite music. They must respond very quickly. "There's no time to look it up in a search engine," says Mr. Sherriff. "This is about WHAT YOU KNOW, not how good are your research abilities."
Players seem impressed. "We received this from a new member during pre-launch: 'Finally, I can see if I can win some money from something that excites me.' "
RapTrivia.com offers much more than the contests, says Mr. Sherriff. "Yeah there's a lot more. We have fully loaded member accounts. Members can upload their own videos and songs. Then they can share them with the member community. Additionally, we provide forums where members can announce their masterpieces get feedback about what's good and what's not good and discount on various products in the shopping cart area. They get also get chat - public and private. In public chat rooms we have discussions with the movers and shakers of the music genre, including artists, producers, agents and more.
