NuTech Digital Inks Exclusive Agreement for ``Battle of the Rappers'' Concert DVD Series

VAN NUYS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 6, 2005--NuTech Digital, Inc. (OTCBB:NTDL), a worldwide leader in the production and distribution of original and licensed DVD content, today announced the execution of an exclusive production and distribution agreement with Bizarre and Proof, Platinum Artists from the rap group D12. The production will result in the creation, by Bizarre and Proof, of a DVD Concert series entitled "The Battle of the Rappers." The series will be produced in Hi-Definition, utilizing state-of-the-art audio and video technology, which will best capture the rap battles on stage as various artists compete in the elimination contest for #1. Bizarre and Proof will be hosting and guest judging the battle tournament. The production shoot is scheduled for October 12, 2005, at the Alvin Theater in Detroit, Mich., and this first DVD in the series will be released in the beginning of the first quarter 2006.

Both Bizarre and Proof are members of Detroit rap group D12, whom NuTech recorded in Chicago on August 23, 2005. In addition to their involvement with D12, both artists have successful solo careers. Having the recent experience of working with NuTech, they came up with the idea to create the "The Battle of the Rappers" Series, which as of now, is undetermined as to how many volumes will be produced. Essentially, the series will document a concert-like event, which will play out in the form of a contest. In such contests, many of which take place in underground hip hop clubs, various aspiring rappers will challenge each other for crowd approval and recognition. In doing so, they will use lyrical content, wit and other methods of delivery to put down, or "diss," their opponent; unfortunately, fun sometimes erupts into frenzy on the stage. In some cases, the crowd will determine the winner, while in this case, Bizarre and Proof will guest host and be the judges.

Commenting on the signing, NuTech Digital CEO Lee Kasper stated, "When I relayed the concept of filming the underground activity of rap battling to entertainment industry experts who help advise us, they absorbed the information quietly. As we discussed Bizarre and Proof's idea further, they became more excited as they applied the concept to their business model metrics. Ringtones Provide Fashion Statement for Women

Females are the biggest buyers of ringtones. Over 21 million Americans purchased a ringtone last month.

Philadelphia (PRWEB) October 5, 2005 -- When it comes to ringtones, the battle of the sexes continues. While ringtones are universally popular with both males and females, females tend to purchase them more, according to a recent study by M:Metrics.

The measurement firm reports that 11.6 million American females downloaded a ringtone in August compared to 9.9 million American males. Theres also a difference in the genre of music that the sexes prefer. Females purchased 66% of the pop ringtones sold and 65% of the country ringtones sold. Not surprisingly, males dominate in the testosterone-laden world of heavy metal and hard rock ringtones where males purchase 68% of such ringtones.

Males were the early adopters of ringtone technology, but now ringtone providers are seeing their largest orders being placed by females who want to accessorize their cell phones the same way that they accessorize their outfits. The most popular kind of ringtones is rap ringtones; 6.7 million Americans downloaded a rap ringtone in a recent month. The next most popular categories are rock or alternative ringtones, pop ringtones, TV/movie/game theme ringtones, and classic rock ringtones. Rounding out the top 10 ringtone genres are country ringtones, hard rock and heavy metal ringtones, voice ringtones, oldies ringtones, and dance or electronic ringtones.

Wanted: Hip Hop Videos for Mobile Network

A note from Clyde, the "brains" behind Hip Hop Press, netweed and ProHipHop.

San Francisco, October 3, 2005

ProHipHop is doing some video scouting for a mobile hip hop network that Mobile Lingo is considering launching in the next few months. Right now I'm just looking to hear from folks who have or are shooting hip hop music videos and would be interested in providing short clips, 1 to 1 1/2 minutes long, to be shown on cellphone. We're primarily interested in unsigned and independent artists as well as artists on small labels that would be interested in providing the clips for free. Obviously, the payoff would be in promotion and we are planning a related website to feature the best clips and information about the artists.

Our use would be nonexclusive, so you could do whatever else you want with the clips. However, currently we can't handle material involving violence, displays of weaponry, drug use, nudity or profanity. I know that may cause some difficulties but we're dealing with the major carriers and that creates a variety of limits. However, if you've shot a full length music video, you could do a special edit for the shorter clip that would meet those requirements.

If you have video posted online, please let me know. Otherwise, simply send me an email letting me know that you're interested and that you'd like to be updated as information becomes available. Also, if you have other ideas that you'd like me to pass along to Mobile Lingo, send those as well to:

Tupac Shakur's Screenplay To Become Featured Film

Afeni Shakur, Tupac's Mother, teamed up with Insomnia Media Group to produce this film. Production starts next March.

Imperial Valley, California (PRWEB) October 1, 2005 -- 2pac's mother Afeni shakur is set to start production for a screenplay written by her son Tupac Shakur, while he was in jail in 1995, next March.

The plot revolves around a black youth who becomes a drug kingpin, and later on in his life decides to go straight. "Live 2 Tell," is going to be produced as a feature film. The script was acquired by Insomnia Media Group from Tupac's mother, Afeni Shakur, who will be a producer on the film, which has yet to been casted.

Tupac, who has been the lead role in "Poetic Justice," "Above the Rim" and "Gridlock'd," had written "Live 2 Tell" for himself to star in. Unfortunately the rapper was gunned down on the Las Vegas Strip in 1996, and never had the opportunity. His murder remains unsolved.
