MTV Networks Names Jason Hirschhorn Chief Digital Officer

Co-headliners hip-hop artists Mos Def and Talib Kweli will perform across the country at intimate club settings accompanied by an eclectic line-up of up-and-coming hip-hop artists including Pharoahe Monch, K'Naan and Jean Grae. The tour will make its first stop in Sacramento on October 28 and will conclude in New York City in December.

At each stop of the Breed Love Odyssey tour, PlayStation will give concertgoers an opportunity to experience multimedia entertainment with one of the hottest items on the market today, the PSP(TM) (PlayStation(R)Portable) system. Street teams will be at each tour stop to showcase stunning PSP gameplay, as well as video and music playing capabilities. Mos Def and Talib Kweli first teamed up in 1998 as the critically acclaimed Black Star, and from there, both artists embarked on solo careers that continue to flourish. Ballots were sent out to the VGA Advisory Board, which was responsible for advising on categories and determining nominees in selected award categories. Winners of the VGAs are determined by votes from the Video Game Industry Voting Council which is made up of more than 200 industry journalists. Winners in two "Viewers Choice" categories will solely be determined by viewer voting.

"I am looking forward to being a panelist and having an opportunity to be involved in this very important work," says Chin.Chin will share her poetry at the event, with two poems she has written about New Orleans pre-and post-Katrina.

"This panel is important for various reasonsmany have discussed these events within their industries, so we felt it was extremely important to cover material that could be discussed amongst all disciplines in hopes to consolidate thoughts and ideas," says Dr. Malcolm Woodland, a Psychologist and research fellow at the Graduate Center at City University of New York. Dr. Woodland will assist as moderator for the panel.

The Malcolm X Grassroots Movement is an organization of New Afrikans in America whose mission is to defend the human rights of our people and promote self-determination in the community.
