NuTech Digital Sets Release Date for "Wanna Battle" Concert DVD Series
VAN NUYS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 30, 2005--NuTech Digital, Inc. (OTCBB:NTDL), a worldwide leader in the production and distribution of original and licensed DVD content, today announced the release date of an exclusive production with Bizarre and Proof, Platinum Artists from the rap group D12. The production will result in the creation, by Bizarre and Proof, of a DVD Concert series entitled "Wanna Battle." The series was produced in Hi-Definition, utilizing state-of-the-art audio and video technology, which will best capture the rap battles on stage, as various artists compete in the elimination contest for #1. Bizarre and Proof hosted and judged the battle tournament. The production shoot was October 12, 2005 at the Alvin Theater in Detroit, Mi., and this first DVD in the series will be released in January 2006.
Both Bizarre and Proof are members of Detroit rap group D12, whom NuTech recorded in Chicago on August 23, 2005. In addition to their involvement th D12, both artists have successful solo careers. Having the recent experience of working with NuTech, they came up with the idea to create the "Wanna Battle" Series, which, as of now, is undetermined as to how many volumes will be produced. Essentially, the series will document a concert-like event, which will play out in the form of a contest. In such contests, many of which take place in underground hip hop clubs, various aspiring rappers will challenge each other for crowd approval and recognition. In doing so, they will use lyrical content, wit and other methods of delivery to put down, or "diss," their opponent; unfortunately, fun sometimes erupts into frenzy on the stage.
