'PixelSounds.Com' Launched - Music Fans Mix Pixels With Free Music
2 London music fans have combined two of the hippest things on the web - pixel advertising and unsigned bands. Once full their website will provide a kaleidoscope of links to new unsigned bands and their muic.
(PRWEB) January 25, 2006 -- PixelSounds.Com Launched 25rd January 2006.
On what is officially the 'most depressing day of the year' a new website promises to bring some musical joy during the dark winter months. PixelSounds.Com, launched by 2 London music fans John Peter and Mark O'Maile, provides space for independent and unsigned bands or musicians to showcase their work.
Unlike other similar sites PixelSounds.Com presents the artists as 30 by 30 pixel 'blocks' on the webpage. Each block, when clicked, opens a webpage with music downloads, pictures and information about the band.
According to John, 'This website is like a box of chocolates - each link will lead to a totally new musical experience. Web surfers will have their tastes challenged and will not be constrained by listening to their own genre of music only.'
The site is free to download from and exhibit on. The owners hope to find sponsors to cover the costs of the site, and are excited to see what new music will be uncovered through the project.
