2nd Annual Fashion Week Fundraiser for Youth Organization
(New York, NYJanuary 23, 2006) This Fashion Week will set the stage
for the 2nd Annual SOUND & STYLE: A Benefit for The Door on
Wednesday, February 8th, 2006 at the new hot-spot, STEREO, 512 West
29th
Street (bet. 10-11th Avenues) NYC. DJs Carl Blaze,
Cosmo Baker, Diamond D, Evil D, J. Period, Marley Marl, M.O.S., Mary
Mac, Ubiquita NYC (Reborn, Moni, Selly,) Ralph McDaniels,
Rich Medina, and more will spin all night long as they rock the latest
gear from Dollhouse, Garbege, Harriet's Alter Ego, Jamhuri, LRG,
Southpole, Triple 5 Soul, Triko, Weight and more emerging designers.
This year, SOUND & STYLE will raise funds for The Door
(www.door.org) a New York City youth organization that provides free
and
confidential programs for young people ages 12-21.
In addition to the talented roster of DJs and Designers, SOUND & STYLE
is benefit "party with a purpose" for New York City young
professionals who will enjoy complementary cocktails by new Swiss
vodka,
X Ellent Vodka, hors doeuvres (8-9 PM) and gift bags with items
from Pro Keds, State Property, PartySmart, and more fashion brands.
V.I.P guests comprised of sponsors, DJs, celebrites, and socialites
will
also receive premium gift bags with special items from: Kenneth Cole,
SmartWater, gift certificates from Embora Wellness & Movement Studio,
tickets to private performance by L.L. Cool J and more gifts. Tickets
are $20 per person.
Last year, SOUND & STYLE hosted over 300 guests, including
actress/producer Vivica A.Fox, had 15 DJs including Jus Ske, Rekha,
Synapse,
Suss-One, and others and raised over $2, 500 for the CityKids
Foundation.
