Alameda, CA (PRWEB) February 18, 2006 In case you missed the event in January, Chosen Vessels Christian Church in Alameda will host its signature event, Experiencing God Through Holy Hip Hop service once again on Friday, February 24 at 7 p.m.
Embracing the movement of Holy Hip Hop, Chosen Vessels understands the importance of reaching youth and young adults in a way they can relate to and in a style that is comfortable to them. Over 200 supporters came out to the January event with more expected at future events as news continues to spread. Performing at this months service is Gospel Rap artists The Whizz, J-White and Lee Majors, dance performances by Nu-Dynasty and Kierra Stevenson with Acts of Praise and singing by The Cosmopolitan Church Choir from Cosmopolitan Baptist Church in Oakland.
We were just blown away with the talent and support from last months event and know that our efforts to promote positivity and the Word of God through Holy Hip Hop is going to change the way the youth and youth adults think about church and God stated Minister Lonnell Harrell who is the Young Adult Ministry Director at Chosen Vessels. Groups such as Cross Carriers, The S.I.S.T.E.M and artist Brett brought down the church with strong messages of God to beats and grooves that would make the heads of those in secular Hip Hop turn.
The service is one that you have to see to believe and was recently featured on CBS and in local papers in the Bay Area. Future plans for Chosen Vessels signature event include a talent competition and community Holy Hip Hop concert this summer. Experiencing God Through Holy Hip Hop takes place on the 4th Friday of each month. It is the perfect place for troubled teens or anyone just wants to express how they feel about God in their very own way. For anyone wishing to participate as a performer may contact Minister Lonnell Harrell at 510-523-6707.
Chosen Vessels is becoming one of the fastest growing churches in Alameda County. With a diverse membership, the church has over 20 ministries that focus on the needs of its members and the community. Located at 710 Haight Avenue, Chosen Vessels offers something for everyone.
