New York, NY (PRWEB) February 19, 2006 -- The Daddy Yankee Tour 2005 concert from Miami will air on Pay-Per-View in the United States and Puerto Rico, Canada and throughout the Caribbean. MediaVision International (MVI), a New York based multi-media entertainment company has partnered with El Cartel Records and Cardenas Marketing Network, working in association with industry veteran Eddie Micone, for the production and worldwide television distribution of Daddy Yankees concert which features hit songs from his platinum album Barrio Fino and debut El CartelInterscope Records release Barrio Fino En Directo.

MVI president Mark Hason had been in conversations with the artist for some time to produce a television event. Ive been following Yankees career and his leading role in the explosion of Reggaeton and have no doubt this is the right show at the right timeno other artist in the genre can do it at his level, stated Hason. As Reggaetons first internationally televised event, the show represents an important milestone not only for the media, but for the culture, added MVI partner and General Manager Danny Wright.

The October 7, 2005 concert in Miami was the high point of Daddy Yankees highly successful 2005 World Tour - produced by Cardenas Marketing Network - proving that the artist and the genre of Reggaeton have an international appeal that will make the televised concert a major success. Daddy Yankee emphasized music is a universal language and Reggaeton is a fusion of Reggae, Hip-Hop, Salsa...it doesnt matter where you come from, you just cant help but feel it.

Everywhere I performed, all over the world, I felt the acceptance of the audience and Im very happy that well be able to share this with millions through a televised special, he added.

Following Daddy Yankees recent Latin Grammy win for Best Album in the Urban category, his two Billboard Awards, and the stunning success of his recently released Barrio Fino En Directo album, the PPV event will mark the first ever nationally televised Reggaeton concert. MVI shot the live concert in High Definition 1080i and mixed in Dolby 5.1 surround sound delivering an unprecedented state of the art production for the internationally acclaimed Reggaeton superstar. MVI joined forces with Brian Riccos Multivision Media as its sales and distribution partner.

The pay-per-view industry has been waiting for someone to come along and break the mold, and we feel we have that cutting edge star in Daddy Yankee, said Brian Ricco. The timing of this event is perfect, with the release of the live album, all the awards and critical acclaim. I am looking forward to the industry getting behind a great promotion for the next big star of pay-per-view, he concluded.
