Def Poetry Jam Poets Converge On Sin City this Thursday at the M.A.D. Poets Lounge during the MAGIC Convention. One night only!

Bruce George, co-founder of Russell Simmon's Def Poetry Jam will appear, along with a select troupe of some of the most eminent performance poets out there, to include performances by Def Poetry Jam Poets Tamara Blue (Los Angeles, CA), Malik Salaam (Atlanta, GA), Rachael Kahn (Los Angeles, CA), Jus Caus (Greensville, SC), Tommy Bottoms (Atlanta, GA) and Kari O'Connor of the Las Vegas Slam Team (Las Vegas, NV).
Performance poetry has become a worldwide phenomenon and the M.A.D. Poets Lounge (MAD=Musically Accompanied Dialect) offers a dynamic and diverse menu of spoken word styles and artists, "the adrenaline junkies of the literary world", heightened by live hot jazz.
This event, featuring evocative artists of authentic self-expression in its rawest form, will be filmed and the public is invited, as well as all members of the local press, who wish to partake of this rare gathering of a slice of the unquestionably most def poets on the planet, at the Celebrity Theatre, on Thursday, February 23rd at 8:00 p.m.
