Fat Joe And Lil Jon To Host MTV's Pimp My Ride International
Hip Hop Heavyweights Set To Burn Rubber Throughout Europe When Pimp My Ride International Premieres This Autumn
London 28 February 2006: Rap star Xzibit ignited the trend in the US and now MTV International has secured a double-whammy by announcing its craziest collaboration yet! Latino rap sensation Fat Joe will take the driving seat alongside King of Crunk Lil Jon when the hotly anticipated Pimp My Ride International hits MTV screens in autumn of this year. This collaboration promises to be more dynamic than The Dukes Of Hazzard and more unpredictable than Starsky and Hutch!
Continuing on from the legacy of the US founding father show, Pimp My Ride International will feature the extraordinary transformation of tin can motors into greased-lightening styled mean machines and babe magnets!
Recognised as a big force amongst the hip-hop fraternity, Fat Joe has made his mark on the worlds of music, film, clothing and urban culture. Hailing from the South Bronx in New York, Fat Joe released his debut album Represent in 1993 on Relativity Records. In the last few years, Fat Joe has been catapulted to the top of the hip-hop elite, collaborating with R&B stars R. Kelly, Nelly, J Lo and Ashanti. His commanding presence will no doubt steer Pimp My Ride International into pole position throughout Europe.
Lil Jon is one of music's hottest producers and artists. Atlanta's "King Of Crunk" brought his high energy brand of hip-hop to the masses with hits like "Get Low" and "Lovers and Friends." His tracks get any club CRUNK and his albums for BME/TVT Records have sold more than 6 million units worldwide. As a producer he has created hits for Usher and Ciara and revolutionized the sound of hip-hop. His energy and enthusiasm will be the perfect fuel to fire the engine of the Pimp My Ride machine.
MTV will be teaming up with All Stoff Garage to bring all pimpees automobile dreams come true! All Stoff, established in 1988 in a small workshop in Alkmaar, Holland have built up their empire from scratch. Their reputation for remarkable designing talent has led to international recognition with their client base stretching far and wide and winning awards from as far a field as the United States and the Middle East.
