ProHipHop To Hold Hip Hop Domain Auction On Ebay
Auction Opens Wednesday, October 25th and Closes Saturday, November 4thDomains Include DefBusiness.com, HipHopResearch.com, RapBarrio.com and HipHopRhythms.com(Raleigh, NC: 10-24-06) ProHipHop (prohiphop.com), the first hip hop industry weblog and a leading music industry website, is holding a Hip Hop Domain Auction on Ebay opening Wednesday, October 25th at Noon (EST) and closing Saturday, November 4th at Noon (EST). The hip hop domains on offer are solid values for immediate or future use at a time when great domains are already few and far between.
Regarding the auction, ProHipHop owner/blogger Clyde Smith states, "Some of those domains are pretty sweet but it's time to let them go. Think of it as a gesture of goodwill from someone who could use a little cash for business development and dig deep as we enter the holiday season!"
Asked if he would miss such domains as DefBusiness.com, Clyde noted, "I did want to save that one for my biography of Russell Simmons. But somehow I have a feeling that's a book I won't write."
The domains to be auctioned:DefBusiness.com
HipHopResearch.com/net/org
RapBarrio.com
BarrioRap.com
HipHopRhythm.com
HipHopRhythms.com
WeeklyHipHop.com
VidHipHop.com
The auction will occur at Ebay and the listing can be found via the ProHipHop Ebay profile or by searching for Hip Hop Domains:
http://myworld.ebay.com/prohiphopThe domains will not be viewable as auction items until Noon, October 25th.
Additional information can be found at ProHipHop:
http://www.prohiphop.com/domainsProceeds of the auction will support new projects at ProHipHop.

ProHipHop Launches New Hip Hop Albums Blog & Newsletter
While the site itself is still under development, I'm happy to report the launch of
Weekly Hip Hop Albums. Despite the generic name, I think it will be a nice way to take my weekly new hip hop album releases post that I do here and at
ProHipHop and add the option of accessing it separately by blog and newsletter.
The blog's a little rough but the pieces are mostly in place. You'll notice that the current difference between my posts here and in the new blog's format is the addition of more album cover graphics. Beyond that, I intend to keep it simple for folks who just want a weekly update of new albums.
Each week's new albums will be posted at
Weekly Hip Hop Albums on Sundays and the
free email newsletter will follow on Monday with Tuesday's new rap and hip hop album releases.
To be honest, since that's mainly what I'm posting here at Hip Hop Logic, I'm thinking about putting this blog on hiatus. On the other hand, it's nice to keep the site active in anticipation of doing more with it. So I'll keep doing the weekly reports here as well for the time being.

Nicolay's
Here is a really nice album with well chosen samples and guest artists.
In particular, the tracks with Black Spade and Wiz Khalifa are especially strong.
